An environment for developing numerical computationprograms and producing publication-quality documents.The environment includes a program editor for writing,debugging, and running programs, and a scientific wordprocessor for editing the programs output andproducing technical reports. The word processor allows insertion and formatting of text, graphs, tables, pictures, and equations. Graphs and tables are directly linked to variables in the program. Equations are created by the built-in equation editor. Programs are written in an easy-to-learn and powerful high level programming language that supports multidimensional arrays, complex numbers, anduser-defined functions. It has many built-in functions for data analysis (e.g., multidimensional FFT, linear and polynomial fitting, etc.).
